PrimeWay Federal Credit Union is a Houston-based financial cooperative. The not-for-profit organisation serves over 48,000 members and manages assets worth over $655 million. Its team came to us in search of a data center experience that was reliable, responsive and wouldn’t cost the Earth, particularly when it came to hidden costs like cross connects.
The Problem: A service that was both unreliable and expensive
PrimeWay told us that they’d taken the decision to move as a result of a number of factors. Primarily, their previous data center could no longer be relied upon.
During Hurricane Beryl, the data center PrimeWay had been using went down completely, resulting in the loss of gear. The facility’s lack of redundancy meant 36 hours of downtime, during which staff were slow to respond.

Prior to migration, a series of thorough site visits were completed, during which both teams met to fine-tune all documentation required. Doing so meant a smooth, easy migration with minimal delays.
The well-coordinated migration and enhanced network redundancy we offer meant that, in PrimeWay’s opinion, our service immediately provided far better value than their previous data center had, despite being slightly more expensive.
The end result: A huge reduction in workload and total peace of mind
PrimeWay told us that their team now sleeps peacefully, safe in the knowledge that their systems are being well looked after at TRG. They’re no longer faced with emergency alerts in the middle of the night, and they know that our team is on hand to deal with any problems as they arise.
Since moving to TRG, the PrimeWay team hasn’t needed to commute to the data center once. They told us that they would have completed over 10 trips to their previous data center within the same timeframe, which really shows the level of support that we’re able to offer here at TRG.
